Founded in 2000, the School of Education (SoE) encourages students to study education from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. At present, the School is composed of four departments and one section, and offers four BA degree programs: English Education, Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Business English, Educational Technology; one MA degree programs (Curriculum and Instruction, Comparative Education); and one MS degree program (Educational Technology). SoE boasts a strong team of 53 professional teachers, all holding Master degrees and 38 of them PhD degrees. Among the twenty professors and associate professors, two are PhD supervisors and 18 are Supervisors of MA students. Equipped with international vision and academic learning experience in major western countries such as UK, US, Canada, Germany, Holland and Switzerland, SoE teachers are highly qualified researchers, tutors and English-Chinese bilingual lecturers in the fields of Education, English Language and Literature as well as Chinese Language and Literature.
